The DAWSON hooks are lower end accessories for wire rope, webbing or chain lifting sets and there are several types available (clevis, eye, self-locking, etc.).
DAWSON alloy clevis self-locking hooks have a grip latch and are rated for overhead lifting. The hook latch and bowl interlock for more stability from inadvertent side impact. The stainless steel spring release trigger will only operate when the hook is unloaded. The clevis design prevents hook to chain mismatch and has a deep chain pocket design.
The clevis Self-Locking Hook allows the hook to remain open until the load is engaged. The hook will not open until the trigger at the back is pressed.
Its compact design makes the bowl of the hook that much smaller so they fit around the lugs of the skip to give you that secure, safe and steady lift. The advanced locking trigger mechanism prevents any accidental slipping and does not open underload. To open the hook to release the load you simply press the release trigger and the hook will open for you to attach/detach. You can lock the hook with one hand which makes it a safe and effortless application. The clevis hook fits directly onto the chain for ease of use and is used with grade 80 or grade 100 alloy chain and can be used for all lifting applications.
